“Modern Farmhouse” was the client’s request. On a 10-acre lot in Durham’s Trillium Forest, we jumped on the opportunity to take advantage of views, capture the sunlight at different times of the day, and allow the summer breezes to penetrate the house.

Shaan has seen this project through from initial planning and programming to construction documents and site administration. The house features thermally modified wood siding, a geothermal heating and cooling system, and a 10 foot wide stone-clad masonry chimney.
