Approached by ambitious developer Maxwell Joseph of Hem + Spire, an old 1940’s brick office building was revitalized. A 3D printing company now occupies most of the building, displaying their cutting edge products.

Shaan worked with Szostak as the project designer and helped make Mr. Joseph’s vision a reality. Several meeting with Durham’s Historic Preservation Commission helped inform the design. The butterfly roof design gives the top floor an airy, bright experience. A rooftop terrace overlooks Rigsbee Avenue.
